Kylo Ren, born Ben Solo, was a central figure in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. He was the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, inheriting a powerful connection to the Force.

Trained as a Jedi by his uncle, Luke Skywalker, Ben was seduced by the dark side by Supreme Leader Snoke. He embraced the identity of Kylo Ren, a title inspired by the ancient Knights of Ren, and became a commander in the First Order, aspiring to emulate his grandfather, Darth Vader.

Ren was conflicted throughout his journey, torn between the light and dark. He murdered his father in an attempt to fully embrace the dark side but continued to struggle with his inner turmoil.

Ultimately, Kylo Ren turned back to the light, rejecting the dark side and the First Order. He assisted Rey in defeating Emperor Palpatine, sacrificing himself in the process, fulfilling the prophecy of the Chosen One bringing balance to the Force.
